Well here we are Geezer’s With Passports has finished it’s first year. With the help and guidance of our amazing web master, Federico Sandoval at, we have managed to realized a great first year. The blog grew this year with over a hundred new articles. We got to enjoy and share four amazing American road trips, a trip to Mexico and and wonderful 3 weeks in Europe. It was a light travel year for us because we are still settling into our new home in Florida, but as we set up house we still got out dozens of times to explore our new Florida turf. We also explored some great new travel web sites, travel tools and travel deals this last year and hope our readers will have the time to read and benefit from some of our dollar saving articles.

This next year we hope to bring readers that have their bags packed, a lot more helpful travel tools to keep up with all the Fast Deals that are constantly appearing on the horizon of the travel world. If you are an avid traveler and want to learn how to get the most bang out of your buck next year, keep up with us and we will strive to find easy ways to help you get out and see the world.

With Christmas over and the New Year under way most of us responsible explorers are tightening our belts after a little holiday splurging but that doesn’t mean you have to stay locked at home. Right now is a great time to travel and for this week we just want to share some great travel Fast Deals we think will cause you to make cheap and free travel part of your New Years resolution.

First, flights to Europe are getting cheap for our friends in the Western United States. We picked out the flight to the right as an example. That’s a round trip ticket to Stockholm from Vegas for $297 on Norwegian. This flight isn’t just interesting because it’s got a great price it’s also interesting because Vegas can be a fun and inexpensive stop over for our friends all over the Western United States. Extremely cheap flights are offered to smart travelers in small Western cities on AlliegiantAir. Some examples that are being offered, are round trips on Alliegiant for less than $100 to Albuquerque, Bellingham, Billings, Bismark, Colorado Springs, Eugene, and Idaho Falls. So if you live in one of the small cities that dot the Western U.S. this is your chance to spend a few days in Sin City and then fly to Europe and spend less than $400 a piece on your round trip flights. This is the type of opportunity that is usually only made available to people who live on the east coast and are flying from hubs like Boston and New York. These Norwegian  prices are available for travelers leaving on January 20th for one, two or three week stays using Stockholm as your base to fly into and out off.

Our next deals are for our friends who are living in the frozen Mid West. If the -3 in Chicago has you depressed you can fly to Cancun on Frontier and do a week in the sun for a $170 flight. I know why go to Cancun in January and sit on a beach or go snorkeling when you could be shoveling your walks.

For our friends in Detroit that are enjoying a balmy 4 degrees you can load up and fly to Nassau for a whopping $320 round trip on Jet Blue. Just like visiting Cancun, while your in Nassau you would have to put up with beaches and snorkeling but you would also be able to go into an air-conditioned casinos if the heat was too much for you.

For our friends around Minneapolis Spirit will wing you to the warmth of Tampa for $87. I know those rascals at Spirit will only let you bring a back pack, but lets be real, after living in -10 degree weather you can stuff a few short sleeve shirts in your back pack and survive Tampas blistering 60 degree weather.

Few things will make a cold Mid West winter more tolerable then a week or two in the tropics, so raise your spirit and the temperature by 70 to 90 degrees, hop on a great deal and fly south to thaw out.

The weather in the Northern U.S. has been brutal this year so we will try to help out our Northern readers and give you plenty of low cost incentives to flee the cold.

If your bags are packed and you are ready for an escape here are fifteen cruises that you may like. We pulled these cruises off of

With the wild Christmas Cruise Season over the Cruise Lines are all competing to fill their Florida base cruise ships. This is a great time to jump on a good cruise deal and escape the cold. As we mentioned above the flights to Florida can be $100 or less from the Mid West and there are lots of very good cruise deals just waiting for a geezer with a New Years resolution to travel more.

With the New Year if you resolution is to travel more please sign up for our posts below and we promise to make 2018 a year for smart reasonable travel. Thanks for all your support last year.
