Bucket List: HAVANA CUBA

4 night cruise out of Miami to Havana and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas for ~ $1000  per couple (base price + tax and fees) with free open bar, free WiFi and an onboard credit!

Charlene and I booked this cruises on the Norwegian Sky, for it’s May 21st departure and our cost was $1003 for (base price + tax and fees). Included in the price is also an open bar, free WiFi and an on board of $25. We will still have costs for tips but this is a sweet heart deal.Havana has been on our bucket list for years and with air travel and hotels in Havana getting more costly every day this cruise offered us a great chance to see Old Havana, listen to a little jazz and bring home a few of Havana’s famed cigars and Rum.

Norwegian is offering this cruises at a deep discount for the next month. We have never been to Havana or Norwegian’s private Island at Stirrup Cay.

The cruise ship is scheduled to arrive in Havana at 8 AM and depart the next morning at 6AM which will be a good solid day to explore Old Havana. The cruise ship will also spend 8 hours at Stirrup Cay.

Here are a list of the sailings in June we found on for you Geezers that have your bags packed. The little cocktail glass means “open bar”. The little dollar sign means ” an on board credit and the little WiFi fan mean free WiFi. The tax and fees to go to Cuba is high and you can expect it to be around $150 per person so expect a total cost of about $1000 per couple plus the mandatory tips.

When you consider that a quick check of flights, round trip from the U.S. to Havana will set you back around $275 dollars per person and an average room in Havana is will be around $75 the Norwegian Cruise is a great way to get a taste of Havana.

Let us know what you think and we will try to tell you more about our trip in the coming weeks. Happy Travels!
